The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid adds new flair to hybrid ownership. Still enjoy your time behind the wheel while seeing mpg’s well into the forties.

For 2025 Honda updated its 11th generation Civic, tweaking styling, updating tech, and overhauling the powertrain. Engineers yanked the turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four-cylinder and replaced with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter. Two of the four trims, LX and Sport, stop there. But the other two, Sport hybrid and Sport Touring hybrid, get a two-motor hybrid system to bolster the work of the internal combustion engine.

In a standard Honda Civic sedan, you now get 200 horsepower and 232 lb.-ft of torque to play with. Nice! And Honda hybrid systems replace transmissions. No non-linear feeling continuously variable transmission to deal with.

Inside, if you get the top trim Civic, you get a 9.0-inch center display and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. The center display also offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as well as Google built-in. Google built-in adds maps, the play store, and a voice assistant.

Along with fashionable styling tweaks, the 2025 Honda Civic makes a very strong case for itself.
